I-800A Approved

On Monday, our I-800A was approved! That's the good news. Bad news is that now there is another step we were unaware of that could take up to 30 days. This is something to do with the Visa in Col*mbia. They need to make sure the baby is adoptable. We are hoping it will NOT take 30 days. After that, they say we have to wait 3-4 weeks to get her paperwork ready in Colombia.

Everything is out of our hands now. We have an appointment on Monday with the Florida C*nsulate in Coral Gables. Because we don't have our travel dates, we will have to take another trip to pick the visa's up. They make it sooo easy for us, don't they? After that, I think we are mostly done. I think.

Hope to be getting some good news soon. Please keep praying that paperwork is moved quickly in Col*mbia.

Still holding you up in prayers! Take the good news with the bad, and pray that all the rest falls into place. Hold your faith in place and know that God has got you covered! Some of us have to wait for what is to come... a lesson I didn't completely agree with or understand until we were matched with our 3 beautiful children, then it became clear and the wait seemed so meaningless. Tomorrow we plan to take the kids to Six Flags again with hopes of grabbing a moment sometime this weekend to send you an email. The kids noticed the same backdrop from their pictures, so it would appear they are from the same small town, unless all the ICBF offices have the same backdrop by chance. Doubtful but still possible. I'd be able to share a lot of insight if they are from the same little town. Anyways, know that you're still in our thoughts and prayers!

Hang in there. It is tough to wait by someone else's clock. I think God is trying to help prepare you for the way things operate while in Colombia. you'll be more than ready to come home and noting will seem to move. Then, on the day you are least expecting it, you'll get a call and asked if you can be ready in 30 minutes to go and take care of something. Keep the faith. Everything may fall into place when you least expect it!
