Travel Dates

We have tickets for June 6th. We have our travel meeting with Nichole tomorrow to go over the trip start to finish. It almost seems like it is not real. I have know this day was going to come for 4 years. So, why do I feel so unprepared? Wait, I know- I am the worlds WORST procrastinator. We are trying to fit everything into 2 bags and 2 carryons. Not easy! We will see how that works out. Justin may be buying some clothes in Colombia:) It is only fair that us girls get dibs on space. Don't you think?

I still keep thinking of little tips that you might benefit from and I'll send them your way as soon as a moment pops free. One big thing I forgot to mention, which was my biggest gripe, was the constant interruptions the agency reps would make to our otherwise relaxing days. A little prep time and advance notice would have been appreciated instead of the knock on the door indicating the taxi was there to drive us to our appointment -- the one we were just learning of. It seems to be the normal routine there. Just be prepared. Interruptions were usually at incredibly inconvenient times, i.e., as we were on our way out for breakfast, or around naptime. More tips on their way.

I agree with Genece. Somebody told us before we left to come to terms with the fact that YOU will be on THEIR time and not the other way around. Knowing that in advance definitely helped me mentally prepare as I am a huge planner. Also, their overall culture is quite slow-paced. So it seems like processes take forever and then at the end, everything goes at warp speed. Also, I would recommend taking a few more gifts to give others than you think you should. We ended up running into so many wonderful, helpful people that we were glad we took a few extra things. I'm so excited for you all!!
