We Are In Cucuta!!!!!!!

We are here people!!!!!! Finally, we weren't sure that this day would happen. Thank you Lord! We flew out from Miami this morning @ 7:30am to Bogota. We then caught a flight to Cucuta. This was not the plan; however, we have learned to GO WITH IT! We were happy to finish all of the travel in one day. We had no information of our connecting flights. Now, you know how that was killing us (not being in control). Our Agency has everything running very smoothe.

We do have some changes. Those of you waiting to get pictures of Mya on Monday will have to wait. Sorry Sarah:( I was hoping that would be your birthday present. We will travel to Pampolona (this is new also- GOING WITH IT:) and we will bring home our baby girl Tuesday.

We are staying at hotel Bolivar. It is very nice. We will share more later. We are hungry and tired. TTFN!

So glad to hear you made it there safely. I'm glad I could offer you a little insight before you got over there and found out the little details they held back. Somehow I knew that photo background wasn't pure coincidence. Pamplona offers an interesting drive through the steep mountainous terrain. If you get a chance to visit the church there where the El Huerfanito is, it's a very interesting sight and full of historical meaning in that town. There's another little church that my husband also went to during his afternoon in Pamplona. The ICBF people in both Pamplona and Cucuta are just wonderful people. Please, please, please tell them hello from the entire Hefty family! Wishing you luck as you make the time pass until you meet that sweet little darling girl! Email me if you have questions about anything there! I'm just so excited for your family and having been there in that little spot in the world before, it means so much more. Almost there!! Keep breathing and you'll be fine!

I see you are learning quickly that you are on their time and plans and not your own. ; ) But the end reward is definitely worth it. I agree, traveling all in one day is a good thing. Now you are there, and all ready to go. I know you are anxiously awaiting your beautiful little girl, but truly. . . enjoy your last bit of time together before parenthood hits. It's a whirlwind for the first few days and you won't know what hit you. I am so excited to hear more!!!!! Thinking of you and remembering all that we felt before our big day. It's amazing, regardless of how everything goes at the initial meeting. Hopefully the court process goes as quickly as it did for our friends who brought their children home from Cucuta!
